Ontario International Development Agency celebrated Canada on July 01, 2006 at the Sudbury Arena, Sudbury, Ontario. Traditional Canada Day parade started from Sudbury Memorial Park and parade led by  City of Greater Sudbury Police Services Pipe Band. Dr. Rayudu Koka delivered welcome speech. City of Sudbury Mayor Dave Courtemanche, Hon. Diane Marleau PC, MP, Hon. Rick Bartolucci, Minister MNDM, Hon. Shelly Martel MPP, Sudbury Police Chief Ian Davidson, Counselor Janet Gasparini, Counselor Claude Berthiaume, Counselor Andre Rivest, Counselor Frances Caldarelli, Counselor Terry Kett, Counsellor Ron Dupis also addressed the gathering. 

Multiethnic food booth include , Sudbury Sri Lankans Association, Afro Heritage Association, Black Arrow Domino Club, Caruso Club, Chinese Community Centre, Filipino- Canadian Association, Hellenic Association, India Canada Association Sudbury, Irish Heritage Club Sudbury, Pakistan Cultural Society, Polish Combattants Association - Branch 24, Sudbury Prarthana Samaj, The Circle of Serbian Sisters "Queen Marija", Ukranian National Federation. 

Canada day event supported by Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association, City of Greater Sudbury, Trillium Foundation, FedNor and Canadian Heritage. Event was colourful with non-stop cultural performances till 4:00 PM and Sri Lanka dancers attracted the gathering and Canadian main stream media. 

All proceeds from this project goes to support Ontario Scholarship Fund - Sri Lanka Chapter. Sri Lanka Scholarship Fund administered by Sri Lanka Canada Scholarship Foundation.
