| The
Newcomer’s Forum 2006 is organized by the Newcomers & Equity Affairs
division with the support of OIDA’s Global Citizen program and Canada
Career Consortium. Ananth Rajkumar, Director Finance and Economic
Strategies, Melinda Kao (Centre for Foreign Trained Professional and Trade
People), Ruth Rantwiwaa, (Catholic Cross Cultural Services - Peel Region),
Shabnam Budwani (Skills for Change), Dr. Bhushan Sood, (World Financial
Group), Esa Para Easananda (Home Life Super Star Reality Ltd), Jag Jit
Kaur (RBC Royal Bank), Dr. Neville Hewage (Ontario International
Development Agency), V. Balasubramaniam( Barrister and Solicitor),
Udayan Bhatt (Dixie Bloor Neighborhood Centre) delivered the
presentations. Representatives from Inter Cultural Neighborhood Social
Services, Malton Employment Resource Centre also participated for the
program. Jigna Shah was the emcee for the forum. Main objective of the
forum is to provide guidance and humanitarian assistance to newcomers to
integrate in to Canadian main stream so that they can participate Canadian
workplace and wider community. |
