Information Session for Newcomers and Refugees

Ontario International Development Agency generously support newcomers to settle in Canada. Mr. Aloy Perera Social worker delivered welcome Address under the theme of "Understanding of Canadian mechanisms and structural pillars to obtain dream career in the multicultural society in Canada. Ms. Nancy Umphrey - Facilitator Centre for Foreign Trained Professionals and Trade People delivered short presentation "Process of identifying career goals, marketable skills and developing techniques to organize and execute job search" MS. Sukhbir Kaur Settlement Counselor Catholic Cross Cultural Services Peel Region delivered lecture "Settlement and support services program for Newcomers and Refugees". Mr. Mahinda Gunasekera Honourary President Sri Lanka United National Association of Canada (SLUNA) explained outcome of "Road maps to peace in Sri Lanka" Highlights of WAPS Oslo Conference and Mr. Daya Hettiarachchi translated to Sinhalease. This project delivered through Ontario Sri Lankans Foundation.
